Victoria was FCDO Director Europe, covering the Mediterranean and Western Balkans, from 2022 to 2025. Victoria previously served as Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Senegal and Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Cabo Verde and Republic of Guinea Bissau. His previous government work includes: special adviser in the Department for Education (2010-2013), non-executive board member at the Cabinet Office (2020-2024) and as a civil servant he was the Prime Minister’s adviser on AI in 10 Downing Street (2023-2024). He is currently on the board of the arms length body of the Department for Education Oak National Academy and is a Visiting Fellow at the Oxford Martin AI Governance Initiative and the Said Business School at Oxford University.
